Porter Nitronox Plus

Demand-flow N2O/O2 analgesia system with adjustable 0-70% nitrous oxide, visual pressure gauges, and patient self-administration. Ideal for aesthetics and dermatology clinics.

Key Features

  • Demand-flow delivery — gas only flows while the patient inhales
  • Adjustable 0-70% nitrous oxide concentration
  • Patient self-administration — patient controls the mouthpiece
  • Visual pressure gauges for real-time cylinder and mixture indication
  • Oxygen fail-safe — system cannot deliver N2O without O2
  • O2 enrichment — increases oxygen percentage on shallow breathing
  • Dual seal diaphragm block reduces leak risk
  • Low inlet pressure alarm (~35 psi / 2.41 bar)
  • Emergency air intake — patient can breathe room air if O2 is depleted
  • Key lock prevents unauthorised use
  • Pin-indexed cylinder regulators — no cross-connection
  • Diameter-indexed gas hose connections — no cross-connection
  • Rapid onset (~30 seconds) and fast recovery (5-10 minutes out of system)
  • No driving restriction — most patients can drive home within 10 minutes of stopping

The Porter Nitronox Plus is a demand-flow nitrous oxide and oxygen system that delivers adjustable 0-70% N2O to the patient on inhalation. Unlike continuous-flow flowmeters, gas is only delivered while the patient is actively breathing through the mask — the patient retains control and can stop administration at any point. Visual pressure gauges provide real-time confirmation of cylinder supply and mixture. The system includes an oxygen fail-safe, dual seal diaphragm block, low inlet pressure alarm, emergency air-intake, key lock for unauthorised use, and a unique O2 enrichment feature that increases oxygen percentage if a repetitive shallow-breathing pattern is detected. Pin-indexed cylinder regulators and diameter-indexed hose connections prevent cross-connection. Onset of effect is typically 30 seconds and the gas clears the system within 5-10 minutes of stopping — patients can usually drive home 10 minutes after treatment.
