BDIA 100th Anniversary Dinner – Cutty Sark, London 16th June 2023
On Friday 16th June four family members representing R A Medical Services Ltd attended the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the British Dental Industry Association held at the Cutty Sark, London. Approximately 120 guests enjoyed the magnificent sight of the Cutty Sark – the worlds only surviving tea clipper, built in Dumbarton in 1869 and now sitting in dry dock at Greenwich, surrounded by an events space and museum.
Whilst enjoying drinks and canapes, the guests wandered around an amazing exhibition of items reflecting the 100 years since the inception of the Association from 1923 – 2023. This was followed by an excellent dinner, interspersed with music and dancing reflecting various times frames – 1920’s to 1950’s, 1960’s to 1990’s and then the first two decades of the 21st Century – with appropriately dressed dancers. We were also treated to a wonderful history of the association by Andrew Dickens who shared stories and moments reflecting 100 years.
Janet Pickles met up with CDO England, Sarah Hurley and BADN Chairman Joan Hatchard on the deck of the Cutty Sark to enjoy the event and the wonderful evening.
