Janet & Chris Pickles recently attended a ‘Sedation in Dentistry’ Study Day organised by Rachael Nichols and Esther McDerra for the Yorkshire & Humber Postgraduate Deanery programme.  It was held at Thorpe Park Hotel Leeds and included a comprehensive programme with 9 Speakers.  During the lunchbreak, delegates were surprised to discover a dray complete with – very large – shire horses outside the hotel door.  This was to celebrate an award to the hotel from Thwaites, complete with cupcakes and champagne.  Not ones to miss an opportunity, Chris and Janet took advantage of the champagne – although drinking on duty an exception rather than the rule – however too good an opportunity to miss!
